First results at the Requirement Engineering Workshop in Germany

On 27th April 2017, stakeholders were invited to the first Requirement Engineering Workshop of the Baltic Fracture Competence Centre project (BFCC).

Stakeholders from hospitals, industry, and academia discussed the first results like the minimal data set for the planned transnational fracture registry platform. Which information do we need? What can be improved? How can we measure success and costs? Many suggestions for the next steps were given by the participants. “We need to know more about fractures and innovative solutions for treatments. The registry can help us”, is how one participant described his impression.

“The aim of the workshop to find out more about stakeholders’ requirements and needs was fully achieved”, said Dr Anna-Winona Struck from Life Science Nord Management GmbH satisfied. The quality of the discussion and the immense feedback of the participants encourages the German lead partner of BFCC to plan follow-up events.

One of the main goals of the BFCC is the development of a transnational fracture registry platform. This platform will allow a comparison of the process and outcome quality across institutions and countries. Furthermore, it will show needs and potentials for innovation within the field of fracture management.
